# Ho Ho Ho! Let’s Make a Paper Plate Santa Craft!
Hello there, little friends! I’m Jingle, one of Santa’s happiest elves here at the North Pole. Today, I’m super excited to share a magical holiday activity you can make at home. It’s called the Paper Plate Santa Craft, and it’s one of my favorite Christmas crafts to do with kids just like you!
Do you like arts and crafts? Do you love Santa Claus? Then this is PERFECT for you. Let’s get those creative fingers ready — because we’re going to make a jolly, joyful Paper Plate Santa!
---
What You’ll Need for Your Paper Plate Santa
Before we start, gather these simple things:
- 1 paper plate (this will be Santa’s face!)
- Red construction paper or red paint
- Cotton balls (for Santa’s fluffy beard)
- Glue stick or white glue
- Scissors (ask a grown-up to help!)
- Black and pink markers or crayons
- A little bit of glitter (optional – for sparkle magic!)
- A red pom-pom or small red paper circle (for Santa’s nose)
Got everything? Great! Let’s begin.

How to Make Your Paper Plate Santa Craft
Step 1: Make Santa’s Hat
Cut or paint the top part of the paper plate red — this will be Santa’s hat! Add a little white strip at the bottom of the hat using paper or cotton balls. Don’t forget the fluffy white ball at the very tip (cotton balls are perfect for this).
Hint: If you want, sprinkle a little glitter on the hat to make it sparkle like the snow outside the North Pole!
Step 2: Draw Santa’s Merry Face
Use your markers or crayons to draw two bright eyes on the plate. Add rosy cheeks with a pink crayon — Santa loves to have warm, rosy cheeks because he rides his sleigh through chilly weather all night!
Don’t forget to draw a big smile! Santa is always happy to spread Christmas cheer.
Step 3: Give Santa a Fluffy Beard
Glue cotton balls all around the bottom of the plate to create Santa’s famous fluffy beard. It’s soft, white, and full of holiday magic!
While sticking the cotton balls, think about what you’d tell Santa if you met him. What would you ask for Christmas this year?
Step 4: Add the Final Touch—Santa’s Nose!
Glue a red pom-pom or a small red paper circle right in the middle of the face for Santa’s nose. Now he looks even more like the real Santa Claus!
If you want, you can also add a tiny cotton ball on each cheek for extra fluff!
