Step-by-Step Santa Hat Craft for Kids 🎅


Step 1: Make the Cone Shape


Take your red paper and make a big triangle or cone shape. This will be the pointy shape of your Santa hat!

Tip: Roll the paper gently until the edges meet in a nice point, then glue or tape it.

Step 2: Add the Fluffy Trim


Now, glue cotton balls all around the bottom edge of your cone. This is where Santa’s hat looks the fluffiest—soft and snowy as the North Pole!

Step 3: Don’t Forget the Fluffy Pom-Pom!


Stick a big cotton ball, or a white pom-pom, right on the tip of your hat. This little puff is the hat’s magic sparkle!

Step 4: Decorate Your Hat!


This is the fun part! Add glitter, stickers, or draw little snowflakes. If you want, you can even add some sparkle like my elves do.

Step 5: Make It Wearable


Attach a bit of string or an elastic band inside your hat so it fits snugly on your head while you spy for Santa’s sleigh!

I’ve been wearing my red hat for hundreds of years, and here are some fun tricks you might enjoy:

- Use glue sparingly—it dries clear and keeps things neat.  
- If you don’t have cotton balls, soft white tissue paper makes a great fluffy trim too!
